Praying for those exploring a called to be minister with Ministries Team co-lead Revd Tim Fergusson

 
 

 

24 years ago in this building, I was ordained as an accredited Baptist minister after three years of formation at a Baptist college. My name is Tim and I'm now co-lead the ministries team at the Baptist Union. In the last few years, the numbers of those starting the journey towards accredited Baptist ministry has been dropping.

And I would like to pray now that that trend is reversed.

Loving God, you are always calling women and men to follow you. and some to pursue the particular task of being ministers among us. I pray that you would raise up a new generation of those who wish to be chaplain and church pastors and pioneers and evangelists and children and youth ministers for the years to come.

I pray that we would have the creativity and the resources to equip them well for that task in Jesus' name.
