'Our hope is that it will be more than another conference'

Team Leader Andy Glover introduces the 2027 Fresh Streams leadership conference: Amplify - Raising Voices for Kingdom Impact

One of the things I love about our annual Fresh Streams Leadership Conference is gathering to reconnect with friends, build new relationships, worship, pray and listen to God. For many of you, these days in January are a valued fixture in the calendar.

As we look ahead to January 2027, I’d love you to join us for what I believe will be a significant gathering.
Our theme is AMPLIFY – Raising Voices for Kingdom Impact.

We believe God is speaking and working through people and communities whose voices are not always heard. As leaders, we need to listen, learn and make room for others. Together, we’ll explore how to amplify those voices, recognise God’s work across His Church and grow in our leadership and mission.

So, who’s joining us?

We’re delighted to welcome four contributors with a range of perspectives and experiences.

Krish Kandiah, founder of The Sanctuary Foundation, brings a wealth of experience in Christian leadership, social action and speaking up for those who are often overlooked.

Karen Sethuraman, a Baptist minister from Northern Ireland, brings a powerful perspective shaped by her ministry and extensive experience of peace and reconciliation.

Rachel Gardner, from Youthscape, is passionate about the Church investing in younger generations and helping young people discover and live out their calling.

Hikmat Kashouh, senior pastor of Resurrection Church in Lebanon, brings a remarkable perspective on leading the Church, sharing the gospel and serving communities in challenging circumstances.

Alongside the main gatherings, we’re developing seminars and conversations that explore a wider range of voices, experiences and issues, including younger generations, racial justice, disability, unreached people groups and the persecuted Church.

We’re pleased that Rising Brook Community Church Worship Team will return to lead our sung worship.

To give our speakers a safe space to speak openly about their work and how they see God at work, we won’t be livestreaming their sessions outside the venue or making recordings available. You’ll need to join us onsite to hear them.

We’re also making changes to the conference experience in response to your feedback.

We’re working to introduce a new ‘2nd Space’ – a relaxed, café-style setting where delegates can follow the main sessions via an on-site live feed, connect with others and take part in a way that may be more accessible and comfortable.

We’re improving our welcome, especially for first-time delegates, with more opportunities to connect and build relationships. There will also be plenty of time for worship, prayer and ministry, including our much-valued Praying it Through time.

We’ll return to Yarnfield Park Conference Centre in Staffordshire from Monday 11 to Wednesday 13 January 2027. We’re grateful to our sponsors: Baptist Insurance Company, BMS World Action and Mission Aviation Fellowship. You’ll have opportunities to hear from each organisation and meet them in our Resource Area.

If you’ve attended before, I’d love you to come back – not simply out of habit, but to set aside time at the start of the year to listen to God, be refreshed, strengthen friendships and find fresh courage for what lies ahead.

Could you bring someone with you – a younger leader, someone emerging in ministry or someone in your church who would benefit from a wider community of leaders? We especially welcome younger leaders, with discounted places for 18–35-year-olds and students.

Our hope is that Amplify will be more than another conference: a place to encounter God, build relationships, hear different voices and leave equipped and encouraged to serve His Kingdom.

Bookings are open for another six weeks, with residential places and Tuesday day tickets available.

I hope you can join us in January. It would be wonderful to see you there.
