'Helping ordinary believers share their faith'

Many Christians would love to share their faith more naturally but aren't always sure where to begin.

The Everyone Everywhere initiative is hosting a conversation to explore how the creative Scripture resources produced by Lifewords can help open doors to meaningful conversations about Jesus. Simon Goddard explains more

For more than a century, Lifewords has been helping ordinary Christians find simple, natural ways to share the good news of Jesus. Founded in 1888 as the Scripture Gift Mission, the organisation began with a bold vision: to make the Bible accessible to everyone and to place Scripture into people's hands in creative and engaging ways.

That same pioneering spirit continues today through beautifully designed resources that help spark conversations, encourage faith, and introduce people to Jesus.

Many Christians want to talk about their faith but are unsure where to begin. Lifewords' resources are designed to bridge that gap. Through attractive booklets, stories, reflections, and Scripture-based gifts, they provide practical tools that can be given away, shared with friends, or used to open the door to deeper spiritual conversations. Their aim is simple: to help people encounter the Bible as good news for everyday life.

Over the years, Lifewords has distributed Bible resources in more than 1,000 languages and now works with churches and mission partners around the world. Alongside printed resources, the organisation has embraced digital media, educational programmes, and innovative approaches to helping people engage with Scripture in contemporary culture.

As part of the Everyone Everywhere initiative, we're hosting an online evening exploring how these resources can support local mission and everyday evangelism.

Together we'll discover:

  • How Lifewords resources can help create natural opportunities to talk about faith
  • Ways to use Scripture-based gifts to bless friends, neighbours, colleagues, and family members
  • Stories of how simple acts of sharing have led to meaningful conversations about Jesus
  • Practical ideas for churches seeking to encourage a culture of everyday witness

Matt Currey, Lifewords Key Partnerships Lead, and I will explore how the creative Scripture resources produced by Lifewords can help open doors to meaningful conversations about Jesus.

Whether you're confident in sharing your faith or feel hesitant about where to start, this conversation will offer encouragement, ideas, and practical tools that can help you become a "lifebringer" in your own community.

Join us as we explore how a simple gift, a Bible story, or a thoughtfully chosen resource can become the beginning of a life-changing conversation.

In a culture where many people remain curious about spirituality but disconnected from church, these small acts of sharing may be more important than ever.

Everyone Everywhere is all about Baptists sharing the Good News of Jesus fully. Simon Goddard is a member of the Everyone Everywhere working group.
