North Western Baptist Association

NWBA Logo“Committed to the values of Christ’s Kingdom, NWBA exists to resource and enable each of our member churches to be more effective in their Ministry and Mission”

NWBA comprises Baptist communities in Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, and parts of Cumbria and North Wales. Our formative vision is founded on the words of Jesus recorded in John 20:21
“As the Father has sent me, I am sending you”

We call this our 20/21 vision - a symbol of our commitment to relate to a 21st Century world and a re-statement of our primary purpose to be a missionary people.

Let Justice Flow...
is our core theme for 2014 in NWBA. Our God is a God of Justice and our Scriptures are riven through with calls for us to be a people of Justice. Throughout the year, churches and congregations will be invited to reflect on various themes and issues, supported by stories and examples of where local churches are actively engaged in working for justice.

Churches in the Association serve one another through a network of honorary office holders and volunteers. They are supported and co-ordinated by a staff team that comprises:
  • Regional Minister – Revd Phil Jump
  • Regional Minister – Revd Sandra Crawford
  • Regional Minister – Revd Tim Presswood
  • Administration Manager – Mandy Howarth
  • Church Life Officer – Revd Jonathan Boyers
