General Secretary

Lynn Green
The General Secretary serves the Union by offering spiritual leadership within the context of the Word and prayer. The General Secretary is the leader of our Union, both internally in supporting, guiding and encouraging our Associations, Colleges and Churches in mission, and also externally in representing the Union in the UK and abroad, in both Christian and secular settings.

Working closely with Council, Trustees, the Baptist Steering Group and the wider Union, the General Secretary draws together, shaping and developing the Union’s mission strategy and policies, and taking overall responsibility for the effective implementation and delivery of those through the establishment of effective operations.

The General Secretary has overall responsibility to communicate the strategy, ethos and policies of the Union’s Council within the Baptist family and, with others, to represent them externally with Baptist and ecumenical bodies, government media and other agencies.

Our current General Secretary is Lynn Green.

Lynn's preaching engagements are planned 18 months ahead, so invitations for 2018 will be considered in August 2017.  Any invitations received after 31 July 2017 will need to be for 2019!

Please contact Lynn's PA, Angie Bryant if you would like to invite our General Secretary to come to your church.  It is a privilege to receive so many invitations, but Lynn is not able to accept them all.  Thank you for your grace and patience as she has to make decisions in planning her time.
