Behaviour expectations

We are looking forward to seeing you all at Wilderhope Manor in May 2024.

To make our time together enjoyable for all, we ask that you read and adhere to the following:
  • Always act with due consideration for others and respect each other.
  • Respect each other’s right to personal space and privacy, especially in your shared rooms.
  • Keep noise to a minimum in your rooms and in the communal spaces after 11pm in line with the youth hostel noise policy.
  • You are expected to strictly respect the shared rooms arrangements and are asked not to enter a bedroom not allocated to you.
  • We want people to meet and interact with others during our weekend together. Communal spaces at Wilderhope Manor are ideal for this, for example the lounge, dining room and kitchen which are on the ground floor.
  • Should you use the kitchen, please clean up after yourself as soon as you are finished.
  • Should you go for walks on the grounds, we would encourage you do this in groups. If you go out on your own, it would be helpful if you let someone know how long you might be out for.
  • You should take a responsible attitude towards alcohol and avoid getting drunk. If you are the designated driver among your friends, please do not drink.
  • You may not smoke or vape anywhere in the hostel.
  • You may not use illegal substances or misuse prescribed drugs or solvents.
The safeguarding designated person for the stay at the hostel and point of contact person there is Suzie Abramian. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Suzie

For the safeguarding of adults at risk at Baptist Assembly, please read Baptist Assembly Safeguarding Policy – Adults At Risk.
