Line-up for Catalyst Live 2016 announced

With just six months to go before Catalyst Live 2016, we’re getting pretty excited about the people taking the stage at this year’s event. So much so that we thought it was time to let you in on the secret


The world in a day – sounds dreamy. And through Catalyst Live 2016, that’s where you can go… all from your seat in Birmingham or Reading.
 
Peru, Israel-Palestine, Sri Lanka, Australia, Lebanon and the Netherlands: these are just some of the countries represented by speakers at Catalyst Live 2016. The event will be a fantastic opportunity to hear from leading Christian thinkers from around the world.
 
And we’re excited.
 

Who will be there?

Revealing five members of our fantastic line-up



Vinoth Ramachandra: cutting-edge theologian, writer, teacher and human rights advocate Dr Vinoth Ramachandra from Sri Lanka will be speaking about science, technology and faith.

Samuel Escobar: legendary Latin American theologian Samuel Escobar is currently president of the United Bible Societies and Professor of Missiology at Palmer Theological Seminary in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania.
 
Shadia Qubti: expert in peace and conflict resolution, Palestinian Christian Shadia Qubti works for Musalaha, an organisation that has brought Israelis and Palestinians together for over two decades.
 
Samuel Wells: vicar of St Martin-in-the-Fields, Rev Dr Samuel Wells is Visiting Professor of Christian Ethics at Kings College London.
 
Margaret Gibbs: ethnomusicologist and former BMS Regional Team Leader for East Asia Margaret Gibbs will be making an eagerly anticipated return to Catalyst Live following her appearance at the 2013 event.

 

The event is taking place at St Martin in the Bull Ring, Birmingham, on Wednesday 16 November, and in The Concert Hall, Reading, on Thursday 17 November.
