'God has been and still is faithful to His church'

Cathy Buntin reports on the anniversary celebrations of Laird Street Baptist Church, Birkenhead

Laird Street Baptist Church celebrated 116 years of God's faithfulness on Sunday 15 March and combined it with a celebration of the wonderful paternal and spiritual mums.

Our worship leader wrote a beautiful song about the church and God's faithfulness.

We were blessed with our guest speaker Jane Henderson from NWBA. She gave us both an encouraging and challenging message from Hebrews, focusing on the cloud of witnesses who have gone before us and keeping our eyes on the goal and Jesus. To keep persevering when we can't see the way ahead of us and much more.

The service was followed by a shared lunch.

I love this church family.  They give so much of their time and energy using their gifts

As we look back on God's faithfulness we are thankful for the new families and children who have joined us.

God has been and still is faithful to His church. We look forward believing for bigger things and are excited to be walking with Jesus on this unknown journey.

If your church is struggling keep your eyes fixed on Him, the author and perfecter of our faith. He never fails. He knows the plans and purposes he has for you and he will perfect them in His way and time. Don't run ahead of him trust him in the storm the wait is well worth it when He reveals himself.

We praise him for all thats been and trust him for all thats to come.
