Children’s and/or Youth Worker (flex)
If you're a Youth Worker, we want to hear from you too!
And if you're a Youth and Children's Worker, we especially want to hear from you!
We're even open to full-time or part-time. (We've got the equivalent of 1.0 FTE available.)
TBH, we're more interested in YOU and your skills, experience, and interest. We'd rather find the right person and then tweak the role around them (you?) This approach has worked well with our other roles. So, we're open, if you are!
There's no shortage of harvest; we're seeing potential all around us. It's a very exciting time for us. We need YOU, with your relational skills, passionate and inclusive faith, creativity, and energy, to grow something special with our growing community of children and/or young people.
Yes, some things are in place, but you'd have plenty of scope to shape and grow what we do with and through children (5-11s) and/ or young people (11-18s). We don't expect you to do this on your own. You'd be joining a great staff team: Under 5s Worker; Seniors Worker; Church Co-ordinator; Cafe team, Minister... We're learning and growing together as we serve.
And you'll be able to plug into a supportive network of other Children's/ Youth/ Families Workers serving Baptist churches in the Midlands... Maybe become a Recognised Local Minister (children/ youth)?
We're one of the most diverse churches in north Birmingham: ability, age, ethnicity, gender, neuropathways, sexuality... You'll need to feel excited by this. We certainly are!
Tell us what you are looking for? What do you need to excel in your gifts, experience, and passion?
For an informal chat, contact Danny Brierley (Minister). Don't delay: we're actively recruiting now. e: DannyBrierley@ChesterRoadBaptist.org.uk m: 07840 046020
