Baptist support for cancer trust

A trust created to support people with cancer that requires rare treatments is being supported by a Baptist couple from Yorkshire

Love Hope TrustSamantha Lynch is long-time member of Middleton Baptist Church, Leeds and husband Patrick recently contacted The Baptist Times to help raise awareness of Love Hope Trust.

Love Hope Trust raises funds for cancer treatments not funded by the NHS. It was founded by nurse Rachel Carrack, who discovered new treatment in Germany after initially being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Though she found funding for the treatment, Rachel wondered what happens to people who don’t have this support?

The trust’s strapline is therefore “Everyone deserves the best possible chance of life”, and Patrick is on board to help achieve this goal.

‘I became involved with Love Hope Trust through a friend who is a trustee,’ he explained. ‘It needs a lot of publicity help in order to increase much needed donations and I feel it's only right that I do whatever I can to help them.

‘One of my gifts from God is the gift of persuasion. I have a degree in Sales and Marketing but haven't found the right use for my degree, until now.

‘LHT needs to promote itself to a wider audience, and I believe this is a calling from God.’
