Prayer and reflections

Opening church buildings for prayer during the week (23 March - 1pm)

We are aware that some churches have considered keeping the church building open to allow people to come in to pray during the week.  We would strongly urge you to follow Government advice regarding social distancing and NOT open the building during the week or on Sundays.  It is essential that we help protect the most vulnerable in our communities and ensure that the NHS can function to the best of its ability.  Encouraging people not to congregate, even in small groups, is one of the ways we serve our communities in love.

That does not mean we are not encouraging or helping people to pray, both within our own churches and in the wider community.   Over the next few weeks, we will be posting ideas here that could be used to lead people to prayer.
