Our Union of over 2000 churches is supported by staff in thirteen regional associations and three specialist teams based in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Our six Baptist Colleges prepare men and women for ministry and offer ongoing development and training.
Home Mission Grants are given to support a variety of ministries in and through Baptist churches and chaplains across the country. It also enables all our churches and ministers to be supported and helped through the work of the Regional Associations and the specialist teams in Didcot.
Safeguarding for the protection of adults and children from harm, abuse or neglect. Every church should adopt safeguarding policy statements for children, young people, and adults at risk. We help churches maintain safe environments for all, with processes to follow should something go wrong, and support for everyone involved.

Ensuring appropriate BME representation in any task group or working group set up to look at issues regarding children and young people.
BUGB Encouraging Young Missionary Disciples Working Group (EYMD)
This group included a BME representative from the Racial Justice Group (RJG) and helped to shape the Today not Tomorrow resource which advocates a model of ‘intergenerational’ church for effectively growing young disciples and leaders.
BU Younger Leaders’ Forum (YLF)
One of the group’s members is from the RJG and seeks to be part of the younger leaders speaking into our Union’s structures as to how to identify and nurture younger leaders in the various Regional Associations.
Develop new initiatives with an emphasis on equipping churches, youth workers and ministers to identify and nurture leadership skills in BME young people.
Youth Transformed and Urban Youth Mission residential programmes
RJG is supporting and promoting these ecumenical residential programmes that attract significant numbers of BME Baptists and have a proven track record of growing leaders (including those from BME backgrounds).
