LEADING EDGE

We are thrilled to be able to announce that Leading Edge will be held back at the Warwick School, 11-17 August in 2008. Leading Edge is the Baptist Union's Summer festival organised in partnership with Viz-a-Viz Ministries and ARISE. It provides an opportunity for Baptists of all ages to gather together for worship, teaching and relaxation.

We are delighted that we are able to return to this popular location with the opportunity to use new alternative venues on the site. Some of these changes on site have provided a great opportunity to develop a Club L:Edge village with all children's venues being within the same location.

2008 theme: Travelling Light

The theme for 2008 is: Travelling Light - living in the light of eternity. We can easily fill our lives with so many things that prevent us from living the effective lives that God has purposed for us. The theme 'Travelling Light' explores the kind of lives that God wants his people to live now in the light of his promise of eternity. Well known author, Philip Yancey will be our special guest (author of 'What's So Amazing about Grace?' and many other best sellers).

Another new facility some might like to take advantage of, is the new Brookside Willow Camping and Caravan Park, just a short ten minute walk from the school. This will be particularly attractive to those looking for electric hook ups and more purpose built facilities. The site is expected to open for the 2008 Summer and we will post their contact details on the website as soon as these become available. Parallel Universe (for those in their 20's) will be back after its hugely popular 2007 debut.

There will also be all your favourites from previous years to participate in - Club L:Edge, Innovation teaching and inspiration for adults and the entertainment and sporting programme for all ages.

The poster and booking forms will be sent out at the end of November. Indications thus far are that we can expect a large increase in numbers next year, so make sure you book early, especially if you want to camp/caravan on-site as we will not have as much camping space as previously. Pitch allocations will be made on a first in-first allocated basis. Don't forget that for those who 'don't camp', historic Warwick has many reasonably priced hotels, guest houses and B&B's that you can take advantage of.

We look forward to having you join us as we celebrate, relax and learn together in 2008. Please keep an eye on the Leading Edge website from the middle of November for more details as they become available.
