BUGB Vice-President Nominations

Nominations are required for the Vice President of the Baptist Union for 2009-10 who will become President of the Union in 2010-2011.
Following changes to the Union’s Constitution, nominations are also required for a second Vice President of the Union 2009-10 who will become President Elect in 2010-2011 and President in 2011-12. The changes were introduced to give the person involved a longer period of preparation before the year of Presidency begins.
The position of President is unpaid and involves a considerable amount of travel visiting the churches and Associations to bring inspiration and encouragement.
Nominations are normally made by Associations and suggestions should be made in the first instance to Regional Team Leaders. Final nominations should be forwarded in writing to the General Secretary not later than 31 December. A ballot of the churches and members of the Union will take place in February and March.
