Calling for church produced video material to share with others – a new initiative!    Bookmark and Share

Monday 06 October 2008

The BUGB Communications Department are aware that churches are always looking for resources to enhance their worship services, especially at certain times of the year. We are also aware that many churches spend a lot of time and effort in producing resources that will only ever be used once.

To help resource churches therefore, we are developing a new initiative whereby we are asking churches who have created resources to send these to us so that we can make them available through the BUGB website for others to download and use in their worship services.

We are commencing this initiative by calling for Christmas related resources. This could be worship material/vox pops from the streets/ other resources you have created. We know there are some talented and gifted friends in our local churches and this would be a brilliant opportunity to make material available to others to benefit from. So, if you have resources that you have developed for your own congregation previously that you think other churches could use, we ask you to send these into us during October and we will start adding them to the BUGB website in November.

These resources can be in Powerpoint format or if they are videos, they should be in Windows Media Video (.wmv) or QuickTime (.mov) format. They should be no more than 5 minutes in length and should not be in contravention of any copyright laws.

We hope to develop this resource further in 2009, to include other themes. Why not consider sending something in to communications@baptist.org.uk and be part of something new!
