VOLUNTEERS

Volunteering gives you an opportunity to join a team of others eager to contribute their talents to make Leading Edge an event where families, singles, couples and groups of people can come together to be refreshed physically and spiritually with as little ‘hassle’ as possible, in a safe and caring environment. During the week you'll find yourself working very hard alongside your fellow team members, allowing God to work through you in ways you never knew he could! While it will be hard work, it is also an incredibly rewarding experience. You will get to meet many new people and see God working in wonderful ways.

The most important attributes you can bring to a volunteer task are plenty of energy and enthusiasm, a sense of flexibility and commitment to the task and most importantly, a heart to serve God and His people. We also ask that you be 16 or over. If you have these qualities, then we would love you to be involved in one of the following areas of volunteering:

General
Club L:Edge (Children's)
Innovation Youth
Site
Administration Support Workers School Years 7-10 Site - Full time
Hosting Little L:edge(Crèche) School Years 11+ Site - Setup only
Pl:Edge (Preschool) Steward-General
Fl:Edge School Years 1-3 Steward – Venue
Sl:Edge School Years 4-6 Technical Support

As a volunteer your primary reason for being at Leading Edge will be to work on the Team. During the event you may find that you have a little spare time during which you will be able to join in the activities or meetings. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee what free time you'll have.

How do I volunteer?

1. Choose the volunteer team that best suits your talents and gifts.
2. If you volunteered the previous year, complete the Existing Volunteer Application Form and send it direct to the Leading Edge office by 31 March.
3. A) If you did not volunteer the previous, complete the New Volunteer Application Form and then give it, the prepaid envelope and a passport photo to your referee for completion. It will be their responsibility to send the form to us by 31 March.
B) You will also need a CRB Disclosure especially for Leading Edge that is not more than 3 years old. Please contact the Leading edge office (leadingedge@baptist.org.uk or 01235 517 752) for a CRB Disclosure Application Pack.
4. Wait while we process your application and advise you of where you have been placed, hopefully by early June.
