CRB Disclosures

In order to minimise the confusion that seems to be about. The present position is that the new style CRB forms – obtainable from either your Association office or from the Communications team at Didcot – are the only CRB application form to use. It is distinctive because it has a pale purple background and portions are highlighted in yellow. The ‘in house forms’ have also been changed to fit with the new CRB forms – these are published on the BUGB website in the Resources section. These forms will be updated from time to time to reflect the changes to the government’s rules. Please refer to the website to ensure you are always using the right forms.
CRB disclosure applications are only to be made for people who need to refresh their disclosure, those who are new appointments or who are changing their jobs. The changes in the rules do not mean everyone applies for a new disclosure now. In other words the system operates as before but using the new forms.
