The Mission Department delivers a large number of day and residential events throughout the year to encourage and equip churches and individuals for mission.

Rural Churches’ Day
Thursday 11 November
Hereford Baptist Church

A day being jointly organised by the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the Baptist Union of Wales for ministers and those in leadership roles in rural churches (eg deacons, moderators, etc).
Theme: Being Christ in Rural Communities

‘Love your Local School’ Day
Saturday 20 November

Hoole United Reformed Church, Hoole, Chester

To help churches to develop links with their local school, and find out about the various resources and materials which might be helpful to support schools and those who work in them.

Crossingplaces Days

An opportunity to inspire and be inspired by stories of Baptist churches engaging with their local communities. These days are suitable for your whole church and we hope that you will be able to join us with your church group.

Woman to Woman
  • Wednesday 23 February

    Baptist House, Didcot

    This day will be to help women in our churches think about the lives of women in society today and the ways that connections may be made with those on the fringe or outside the church.  We shall look at resources that will help such women on their journey of faith, including a training session on using the 'Wellsprings' course.

    Toddler Group Rocks!

    A Baptist Union and Care for the Family Day to help and encourage those leading and working in church Toddler Groups.

    Being Church for the Boomer Generation? conference
    Wednesday 23 November 2011 - Friday 25 November 2011
    High Leigh Conference Centre, Hoddesdon, Herts

    This ecumenical conference is to help church leaders understand the distinctive sociological group known as Baby Boomers, enabling them to set and resource a Boomer mission agenda for local churches.

    The conference will look at:

    • how we can re-engage people who have residual Christian faith but have left church
    • the ways of relating with those other spiritualities
    • what church will look like to connect with this generation.
