In more depth...
The Grants Office is responsible for processing and assessing Home Mission Grants – now known as BUGB Mission Grants.
Most of these grants are made to BUGB member churches for the support of mission-focused pastoral ministry. Other grants are made to support chaplains, ecumenical officers and a wide range of specialist mission-based ministries.
Any church wishing to apply for a BUGB Mission Grant should contact their local Association. Downloadable Application Forms are now available on the website and can be accessed by clicking here. You will, however, need the user name and password provided by your Association.
In addition this office is responsible for processing Mission Project Grants which have recently replaced the Against the Stream grants and Green Shoots grants. These grants are given in order to encourage and enable BUGB member Churches to respond to the mission needs of their community as part of their ongoing work and ministry.
They are one-off grants of up to £3000 for new projects or new initiatives within existing projects. These projects must have a mission focus, in that their main aim should be to benefit people from the community which the church is seeking to serve. If you would like more information please contact your Association or the BUGB Grants Manager (grants@baptist.org.uk). Please note though that application packs are only available from Associations and not from the BUGB Grants Office.
The Grants Office is run by the Grants Manager, Mrs Rachel Tole.
