BACK TO CHURCH SUNDAY

Back to Church Sunday this year is on 28 September.

Back to Church Sunday is designed to encourage people to invite their friends and neighbours back to church on one specific day. It's based on research showing that between 20 and 30 per cent of the population would be open to such an invitation.

Experience shows that it works. Many Anglican churches have had excellent results, and in the North Western Baptist Association (NWBA) last year, participating churches saw an average increase of twelve in their congregations that Sunday.

Packs of Back to Church Sunday posters, study material and invitation cards have now been sent by the Mission Department to churches taking part.

Churches which have bought one or more packs can now access a sample Order of Service, including a PowerPoint presentation, using the access codes already sent. If you would prefer to receive a copy by post, please contact the Mission Department on b2cs@baptist.org.uk. Alternative resources are available to download from www.backtochurch.co.uk.

The Mission Department has also developed a give-away pack for new people who come to church on Back To Church Sunday. It includes the testimony-based More to Life DVD, the More to Life magazine and a bar of Fairtrade chocolate. The cost is £3.70 per pack (including p&p) and an order form is available by clicking here. To ensure that packs arrive in time for back to Church Sunday, the final date for ordering these give-away packs is Monday 8 September.
