Young Adults

The Younger Leaders' Forum is a group of young adults, appointed by each association, to do, think and inform Council of matters of concern to young adults.  It is facilitated by the Mission Department.

The Forum is made up of two young leaders (aged between 18-30) from each of the thirteen associations.  The group meets together for two residentials each year, and reports annually to the BUGB Council.

The purpose of the group is:
  • To act as a think tank for the life and work of the Baptist Union
  • To discuss the major theological, sociological and practical issues affecting the Union, in a manner and style conducive to a younger generation.
  • To offer advice, ideas and vision to the Union.
  • To provide opportunities for young emerging leaders in translocal ministries.
  • A member of the Forum may be co-opted to the BU Council.
