International Baptist Theological Study Centre

The International Baptist Theological Study Centre (IBTSC) Amsterdam is the new expression of the International Baptist Theological Seminary (Prague) which was founded initially in 1949 in the town of Rüschlikon, Zurich, Switzerland.  A number of graduates from these institutions serve in British Baptist churches and Colleges.

StudentsIBTSC aspires to stand in the tradition of its predecessors and to deliver high quality theological education and research from a Baptistic perspective in a genuinely international context (it presently has students from over 27 countries).  In this way it aims to provide research, researchers, educators, and leaders who can serve the mission and ministry of churches in Europe, the Middle East and beyond.

At present it delivers three main programmes: MA in Baptistic Histories and Theologies (as an approved partner of the University of Manchester); a D Min (with Acadia Divinity College) and a PhD (a collaborative centre within the faculty of theology of the VU Amsterdam).

All these programmes are available in part-time, flexible learning approaches supported by online resources.
