I am the team leader for the South Eastern Baptist Association (SEBA). My main concern that I bring to the Baptist Steering Group is for mission, which should drive so much of what we try to do if we are truly a missional movement. I firmly believe that the word ‘independence’ should be struck from our Baptist vocabulary as it implies a non-Biblical ecclesiology.
I have served SEBA for over six years as a regional minister, having previously served two churches (Rye and Maghull) and been Association Missioner for the Sussex Baptist Association. After school I did my management training with the John Lewis Partnership before going to Spurgeon’s College. Along the way I have enjoyed doing a certain amount of TV and radio work, including DJ-ing a weekly show on Radio Luxembourg.
I am married to Gill, who is a peripatetic music teacher. We have four children and three grand-children. I enjoy reading, playing badminton, walking and watching films.
