From 2003 until the beginning of 2013, I was the General Manager of BUGB working in partnership with the General Secretary in offering leadership to the Union. In that role I managed the staff at the National Resource and coordinated the development and implementation of national strategy and support of Associations. In 2012 the Union decided upon radical changes to its leadership, governance and management structures and the role of General Manager was discontinued. Then, up to July 2014, I was appointed as Transition Manager to guide the Union through the implementation of these changes.
My role title is now Special Projects Consultant and I work closely alongside Lynn to support her in her role as General Secretary.
I have been married to Ann for 36 years and we have three married sons who currently live in Nottingham, Auckland, New Zealand and the Lake District.
Anne and I are members of Melton Mowbray Baptist Church, and when I occasionally get some time, I enjoy walking and photography. I am a lifelong supporter of Leicester City!
