Are you passionate about politics, justice and global issues impacting on the life of the Church? Do you have a desire to work in unity with an ecumenical team to make a difference?
The United Reformed Church is seeking to appoint a new Secretary for Church and Society to work within its Mission Team to enhance the social witness of the URC by raising awareness of issues relating to peace and justice. You will also be working within the Joint Public Issues Team, which combines the expertise of the Methodist Church, the Baptist Union, the Church of Scotland and the United Reformed Church to deliver resources to enable churches to deal with issues of national and global concern.
You will be a gifted and committed team player who is self-motivated and can handle a varied and complex workload. You will also possess an understanding of political, social and economic issues and be able to analyse them and reflect on them theologically.
Proven skills in campaigning, advocacy and political relations are also a requirement.
